Layout Window

The Layout Window is a workspace used to edit layouts.

Layout Window

  1. Workspace for layouts. You can arrange panes to create layouts.

  2. Panes such as picture panes and window panes.

    Panes surrounded by red borders are selected panes. Locked panes are surrounded by a blue border.

  3. Frame area

    This area is used when displaying the layout on the screen.

    Displays the Safety Frame guide, using the color that was selected when the Safety Frame was specified for render in Tool Environment Settings.

  4. The coordinates of the current location of the mouse cursor are displayed.

  5. Displays information about the selected pane.

    The pane name, display location, and coordinate offsets when moving the pane are displayed, starting from the left.

  6. Displays the current operating mode of the mouse.

    Idling
    The mouse is not doing anything (idling).
    Selecting
    The mouse is being dragged to specify an area.
    Tweaking
    The mouse is dragging a pane.
    ViewTrans
    The SPACEBAR is pressed, and the mouse is moving the display area of the Layout window.
    MakeHierarchy
    The mouse is setting parent-child hierarchy relationships among panes.
    BrakeHierarchy
    The mouse is disbanding parent-child hierarchy relationships among panes.

  7. Whether the translation of the parent pane is reflected in the child pane is indicated with the icon.
    This setting can be toggled in Object > Apply Parent Transformations to Children.
    In addition, the settings can be temporarily reversed by pressing CTRL.

     Parent pane translation is applied to child panes.

     Parent pane translation is not applied to child panes.

  8. Displays the current display zoom ratio. The display zoom ratio can be selected from a combo box.

  9. The display zoom ratio can be changed using a slider.

  10. Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons.

    These can change the display zoom ratio.

  11. Shows the location of the origin of the layout.

    Coordinates take positive values to the upper right of the origin.
